High Performance Yachts was founded in 2003.The company's directors are driven by their passion for sailing, fuelled with a desire to design and build an individual range of high performance sailing yachts.

Our aim is: "To escape from the norm and to provide a simple answer to the sophisticated requirements of today's sailing enthusiast."

With his experience, creativity, and inspired design work the highly respected and renowned UK naval architect, Stuart Roy, has successfully enabled this concept to become reality.

Boat builder Nigel Harley was also in tune with the company's objectives. With his enviable reputation for building strong, fast and highly competitive sailing boats, High Performance Yachts is delighted to have his company "on board" to develop and build HiPyachts in Cowes, UK. Nigel's enthusiastic team of skilled craftsmen started the prototype HiP30 in January 2004.

The design objectives were for the ultimate, modern yacht combining distinctive looks and exhilarating performance without the need to hike The boat is maximised to ensure ease of sailing, whether single handed or with a full crew and caters for racing, family and pleasure sailors.

Her easily driven hull, modern coach roof, high ballast ratio, self tacking jib, asymmetric spinnaker with retractable bowsprit and the customer's choice of "state of the art" sail materials all help to meet the HiP design and build criteria. All lines lead into the spacious cockpit and are close to the helm.

The modern and lightweight design utilises the latest composite materials, carbon fibre spars and superior fittings, deck gear and rigging.

Her lifting keel and rudder makes for easy trailing, launching and recovery with the ability to reach your favourite anchorages. Below decks there is modern yet cosy accommodation for 3 to 4 crew. With the option of an outboard or inboard engine most requirements are catered for.

The HiP30 retains a clear, uncluttered cockpit and deck so safety is assured. Innovative, aesthetically pleasing and affordable, the HiP30 will create a great sense of pride in any owner...
